On April 21st, from 11:00 am to 18:30 pm, the Municipal Library of Loulé will host an Intensive Seminar on Creative Writing, coordinated by Luís Carmelo.

In this initiative, it is intended to work on Description, Narration and Poetics (in the format of intensive micro-workshops: exhibition, writing and in-person commentary).

The Seminar has a cost of 40 euros to be paid directly to the trainer and registrations must be sent to: [email protected].

Luís Carmelo was born in Évoraon the 25th of august 1954. Graduated in Modern Languages ​​and Literatures, Variant of Portuguese Studies, at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands, in 1990, and obtained a doctorate in 1995. He is the author of a vast literary and essayistic work, including ten novels and fifteen essay books (including the 1988 APE Prize) on semiotics, theory of culture, literature and the multidisciplinary crossover of contemporary expressions. He is a professor at the Escola Superior de Design (IADE), member of the Portuguese Association of Writers (APE) and of the International Semiotics Association (IASS-AIS), columnist for the newspaper Espresso (online edition), author of the “Miniscente” blog and editor of the PNETliteratura website.
