Four trucks carrying goods filled with food donated by around 4000 people: this was the result of the solidarity campaign promoted this Sunday during the Portimonense-Freamunde football match.

Portimonense Sporting Clube, through its Portimonense Solidário project, and “Teia D'Impulsos – Social, Cultural and Sports Association”, carried out this solidarity campaign to collect food in favor of the Social Refectory of the Parish Social Center of Nossa Senhora do Amparo, in Portimão.

The “solidarity challenge” was answered by more than four thousand people, whose presence in the Municipal Stadium of Portimão, to watch the match between Portimonense and Freamunde, “greatly surpassed all expectations”, say the organizers.

"From this impressive human chain came the delivery of food that filled four trucks for transporting goods."

As part of the promise made before this campaign, the more specific results will be made known shortly, after the inventory that is being carried out during this week by the social cafeteria services and a visit to the site by athletes and directors of the Portimonense and Teia D'Impulsos.

«Portimonense added three points in the field, the city of Portimão, added three points out of it», conclude the two promoters.
