António Cabrita and Pedro Tavares launch the book «uRBaN_iDaDes», next Tuesday, April 17th, at 18 pm, at the Vicente Campinas Municipal Library, in Vila Real de Santo António.

The first poem in this work says that everything has a beginning and that there is always a first time for everything in life.

This is the first time that these authors' poems have been published. There are two blocks of urbanity poems. Etymologically, urbanity comes from the city, and building a city takes many more blocks.

The magical and secret grace of the imagination of António Cabrita and Pedro Tavares invites you, throughout the pages of this work, to take a stroll through some of the classic themes of poetry: the passing of time, love and disaffection, loneliness…

But these «Urban_ities» are not alien to the present and there are also poems that talk about more current themes: the crisis, the difficulties and their influence on our lives, modern life and machines.

And if conversation between people is the most powerful weapon against wars and the best antidote against all violence, the dialogued comments of these poems create the fantasy of reading a spoken book where the authors talk to each other, talk to the poems and talk to readers.

Edited by Editora Guadiana, the presentation of «uRBaN_iDaDes» is part of the cycle «Sinónimos de Leitura», which takes place at the Vicente Campinas Municipal Library, between 16 and 20 April.

The launch of the work will be attended by José Carlos Barros, Júlia Barahona, Hugo Barros and Hélder Oliveira.
