On the nights of April 7th and 8th, at 21 pm, the Municipal Auditorium of Olhão welcomes the production, held in the Algarve, Paris, Hawaii Beach. This is a project integrated in the Movimenta-te network programming that integrates, among others, the Municipality of Olhão and portrays experiences from the 60s to the present day.

A night of dancing, theater and live music in the throbbing heart of the Algarve… Paris, Hawaii Beach it is a spectacle that works like a beach, in it anything can happen – from humor to pleasure, from terror to the absurd, from joy to anguish of those who live in the Algarve, whether for a month or for a lifetime.

In this show, an Algarve inscribed in the world is lived and sought. The one who hides behind tourists, foreigners, burning dreams, long nights, the culture of the body and the murderous sun; an Algarve that looks at the sea, the Algarve forest and the barrocal in a different way.

A creation from the Algarve, but also from the world that rewrites itself today.

Paris, Hawaii Beach is a creation of Ainhoa Vidal, Gonçalo Amorim and Madalena Victorino in co-creation with the interpreters Ana Gabriel, Cláudia Ermitão, Luís Santos, Pedro Pinto, Pedro Romeiras, Raquel Rua, Tomé Quirino and Victor Ortuno.

In addition to these performers, the show has the participation of a few dozen people from the region who, without experience in the performing arts, expressed interest in performing on stage in a project that speaks of their territory, of their daily life.

The local 'actors' thus ventured onto the stage paths and lived a unique artistic experience, which they will show next weekend in Olhão, after having already passed through other stages.

This is a creation residency that took place from January to March 2012 in the Central Algarve and which we will now be able to visit in Olhão. This is a project created by the network Movimenta-te – Trajectories of Cultural Programming in Network.
