The “grandparents” of a mountain village Ti Rita and Ti Firmino will tell stories tempered by the heat of the fireplace in yet another play in Cenários – Loulé Theater Show. The company «Ao Luar Teatro», born in the heart of the Serra do Caldeirão, will take the play «No corner to the fireplace» to the Manuel Viegas Guerreiro Foundation, in Querença, on Saturday, at 16:30 pm. Admission is free.

The show recreates a scenario that may have been experienced by many who grew up in the interior, namely in the village that will receive the play. In «In the corner to the fireplace», tales of the work of Francisco Xavier Ataíde Oliveira will be told, according to a press release from the Loulé Council.

The two characters are "a nice couple who have never had children and who have lived surrounded by children all their lives." These are the ones who receive, “among the sweets, mischief, jokes and serious things in life”, life lessons, in the form of stories told by a burning fireplace.

Ti Firmino and Ti Rita, like good elders, are always ready to offer a story to the younger ones, even if their age has made them “a little more forgotten, a little more deaf, with less patience”.

«Created in 2010, Ao Luar Teatro is a professional group, based in the former primary school of Sarnadas, a village in the parish of Alte, and aims to promote theater and take it to the most remote areas, as well as publicizing the cultural heritage and material from the Municipality of Loulé, with school students», added the municipality.
