During the pre-sale of tickets for the Academic Week of the University of Algarve, students contributed around 500 liters of milk and olive oil, products that will be delivered to CASA (Support Center for the Homeless).
By purchasing a simple ticket for the event – which is, in its category, the largest in the South of the Tagus – each student also contributed 2,5 euros to the project tomorrow you, and 2,5 euros for the Mobiliza-te project, whose prize is a car that was drawn at the Arraial “Ano Solidário”, which took place last night at the Penha Campus.
The total amount raised was also delivered, in the middle of Arraial Académico, to those responsible for the project that supports needy students at the Algarvian Academy.
Then there was the drawing of the car which, within the scope of the Mobiliza-te Project, awarded one of the many students who participated in solidarity in this initiative, with the presence of the mayor of Faro.
The Academic Association of UAlg expressed “its heartfelt gratitude to all colleagues who, even for one day, not only thought about parties but also the well-being of others, showing that young people are well aware that a better world it is only possible with the contribution of everyone».
