This morning, at 2:30 am, the GNR patrol detained three Portuguese men, one 19 and two 24 years old, in flagrante delicto, on suspicion of burglary and theft of the safe of a PT telephone booth in the town of Quarteira .

According to the GNR, after receiving the communication that a theft was taking place in Rua do Portão, next to the Allsol Building, the patrol quickly went to the site, where it also saw a vehicle leaving the site at high speed.

The patrol followed the vehicle and came to intercept the individuals shortly thereafter. In the search for the vehicle, the GNR found that the trio had in their possession the telephone booth safe and the crowbar used in the break-in.

It was also found that the driver did not have a driving license and that at least two of the individuals already had a criminal record related to the practice of theft and robbery.

The detainees were constituted as defendants, being the driver of the vehicle present at the Court of Loulé, for trial in Summary Proceeding, for the crime of illegal driving.
