Next Saturday, March 10, at 21 pm, two of the most renowned Portuguese actresses – Eunice Muñoz and Maria José Paschoal – take to the stage at the Cine-Teatro Louletano with the play “O Cerco a Leningrado”, part of the VII Cenários – Loulé Theater Show.
This amusing comedy is the most important work of José Sanchis Sinisterra and has been successfully performed all over the world by great actresses. This play tells the story of two women who live locked up in an old theater in the city and who fight against its announced demolition.
A work in which both characters are witnesses to a time that no longer exists but that alerts our current society to the dangerous times we are going through.
In this “political” comedy, Eunice Muñoz celebrates her 70 years of career, in a work that, at the same time, pays homage to all theater professionals.
The dreams and utopias of a better world are present in this human relationship between two women who will never surrender.
