From March 3rd to April 28th, the municipality of Loulé will once again be the stage for an important event linked to theatre, which aims to promote theatrical art to the public, publicize new productions and support amateur theater groups in the municipality. : VII Scenarios – Loulé Theater Exhibition.
But in this event, which has been gaining notoriety in the Algarve's cultural programme, there is also space for professional theater.
Thus, five amateur groups, a professional group and two renowned actresses bring to this theater party ten plays, in fourteen presentations that will take place in ten different theaters in the Municipality of Loulé.
The highlight goes to the presentation of “The Siege of Leningrad”, a comedy starring Eunice Muñoz and Maria José Paschoal, which is presented on March 10, at 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano.
ACTA – The Algarve Theater Company premieres in Loulé, on March 24, at 21 pm, its new production. “Horse lame does not trot” is presented at the Cine-Teatro Louletano.
This year, one of the particularities of this theater show is the support to the Municipality's theater groups, through the acquisition of existing productions, with the exception of the Arte de Viver Theater Group, which presents a new production in this edition of Cenários.
On March 3, at 21 pm, the group Miralumim, which was born within the scope of the Bem Me Quer Project, of the Municipality's Social Action Division, presents the play “Alte and the Secret Actresses” at the Casa do Povo in Alte. narrates some episodes in the history of this land and its people.
The group returns to the stage, on April 28, at 21 pm, at ASCA, in Almancil, in a joint presentation with the Senior Theater Group of Quarteira, also a result of the Bem Me Quer Project, which takes to the stage “Arrived Weddings ”.
This year, TAL – Teatro Analysis of Loulé, participant in all editions of Cenários, brings the children's play “João Ratão”, presented to schools on March 19, at 10:00 am and 15:00 pm, at the Paroquial de Loulé, and 15th of April, at 16:30 pm, at the Municipal Center of Quarteira.
On April 7th, at 21 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, the project “Fridays à Solta” takes to the stage. A new performance by the collective of artists with a lot of music, theater, videos, poetry, dance etc... but above all with many artists who over more than a year have dedicated their time and talent to the project and to the Casa da Cultura de Loulé.
The Arte de Viver Theater Group from Universidade Sénior returns to Cenários with the play “Auto da Vida e da Morte by António Aleixo”, based on the first theatrical text by the poet from Loulé, a profoundly philosophical text, because it addresses a central problem of the whole philosophy – Life and Death. This show will be on stage on April 1, at 16:30 pm, at the Tôr Community Center, and on April 21, at 21:30 pm, at the Cine-Teatro Louletano.
Finally, from Sarnadas to Cenários, Ao Luar Teatro presents three shows. On March 24, at 16:30 pm, at the Manuel Viegas Guerreiro Foundation, in Querença, and March 31, at 16:30 pm, at the headquarters of the Associação “Os Barões”, in Nave do Barão, the group takes to the stage with “No Cantinho à Fireplace”, a strip of short stories from the work of Francisco Xavier Ataíde Oliveira.
On April 14th, at 16:30 pm, at the Vale Silves Community Center, Ao Luar Theater reissues the play “Fado de Cássima ea Canto das Mouras”, the magic of oral tradition, the cultural richness of the Algarve's legends and also the happy meeting of the theater with Francisco Xavier D'Ataíde Oliveira.
“A Charanga do Pintassilgo” is the name of the group's latest production, which will be presented on April 21, at 16:30 pm, at the Salão do Grupo Desportivo Ameixialense. A living heritage of our musical heritage, small philharmonic bands that are part of the region's history. This charanga carries with it an atmosphere of party and animation through genuine characters that we easily identify in the village parties and that infect us with a good mood.
All shows that take place in the parishes have free entry. For the pieces presented at the Cine-Teatro Louletano, the ticket price is 5 euros, with the exception of “The Siege of Leningrad” (12 euros) and “Horse lame no trota” (10 euros).
