Pedro Manuel Mendes Henriques Nunes, former president of the Medical Association, is the new chairman of the Board of Directors (CA) of the Hospital de Faro.

In addition to Pedro Nunes, the Hospital's new administrative body is also composed of the physician Jorge Manuel Domingues Salvador, who assumes the position of clinical director, the nurse José Fernando Vieira dos Santos, who assumes the functions of nurse-director, and also by Luís Miguel da Costa and Cunha Martins and Graça Maria Palma Pereira, who will be executive members.

The appointment of the new bodies was published in the Diário de República on Wednesday (December 28).

The members of the new Board of Directors have already started their duties and promoted a presentation session for employees, an initiative that was attended by professionals from all areas of the Hospital.

During the session, the chairman of the Board of Directors, as well as the other members, highlighted the importance of teamwork among all professional sectors and their commitment to consolidating the image and importance of the Hospital de Faro as a reference unit at national and international level.

Pedro Nunes, 58, was president of the Medical Association between 2005 and 2010.
