Portimonense lost again this Sunday to Liga Orangina, in the Azores, against Santa Clara by 2-1 and fell to the bottom of the table with 3 points.
At half-time, João Bastos' team had already lost by two balls to zero, goals from Sylvestre, in the 28th minute, and by Pipo in the 44th minute.
In the second half, Alvinegros tried to change the course of events, and managed to reduce the disadvantage in the 56th minute by Ben Traoré.
In the 78th minute, Portimonense had a good opportunity to tie the match, but the Santa Clara goalkeeper Stefanovic denied the goal to Simi and held the Azoreans' victory.
This was the Algarve team's fourth defeat in five matches. Portimonense, in addition to occupying the last place in the table, also has the worst defense in the league with nine goals conceded.
