Paderne receives, next weekend, the 5th edition of the Mostra de Frutos Secos. Regional flavors return to flood the streets of the historic village, mixing with the typical sounds of the region.
The traditional Showcase of Dried Fruits is back in the parish of Paderne, on the next 24th and 25th of September. The car park next to João de Campos Stadium will be decorated with typical regional product stalls.
Between 15:30 pm and 23:00 pm, it will be possible to enjoy the most diverse delicacies made from figs, almonds, carob and other fruits of the region. Confectionery, liqueurs, food products and handicrafts can be purchased by visitors, who also have the opportunity to contemplate an exhibition of old agricultural objects used in farming.
Musical entertainment will also not be lacking in this edition of the event, with several regional artists taking the stage. On Saturday, the group “Insignia” will open the night, followed by the show with “Bel” and a dance with Nuno Balbino.
On Sunday, the evening begins with the performance of the Rancho Folclorico dos Amigos de Ferreiras and the Banda Filarmónica de Paderne. Closing the event, Filipe Conde will toast those present with the usual ball.
The Mostra de Frutos Secos is organized by the Parish Council of Paderne, with the support of the local authority.
