The Liberty Seguros Track Festival will take place on Wednesday, October 5th, at 14:30 pm, at the Tavira track, organized by the Tavira Cycling Club, thus marking the end of the season.

The event will count, as usual, with the participation of national and Under 23 professional teams. This year a novelty will be introduced, as the festival will feature the participation of an elite female team.

The highlight of the event takes place with the celebrations of the fourth victory in the Volta a Portugal with Ricardo Mestre and the Tavira/Prio team.

Another no less important moment will be the tribute to Cândido Barbosa, who retires from the competition, after two consecutive years of joining the professional team of this Club.

With Liberty Seguros supporting this initiative, the company has always maintained a close relationship with Cândido Barbosa, and this union made it essential to be at the athlete's side on this date.

“On the day that Cândido Barbosa officially retires from competitions, Liberty Seguros joins all its admirers, thanking them for their contribution and achievements in the sport that we are so passionate about and wishing them every success in this new stage that is beginning ”, defends the company.

Persistence and the spirit of sacrifice are values defended by Liberty Seguros that are reflected in the people's cyclist: “just as cycling is an inspiration for Liberty Seguros, because it exalts what is most beautiful in human beings – team spirit, mutual help, hard work, abnegation and sincere effort as an unavoidable condition for success – Cândido Barbosa also inspires generations of athletes of today and tomorrow by his combative, genuine spirit and achievements”, he concludes.

In addition to this partnership, the trophy also has the support of Crédito Agrícola, Municipality of Tavira, Digital Mais TV, Parish Council of Santiago, Parish Council of Santa Maria, Parish Council of Conceição and Parish Council of Cachopo.

The Festival will have television coverage by RTP, and will also be broadcast live on the online television Digital Mais TV.
