Around five thousand menus have already been sold by the restaurants and patisseries participating in the Portimão and Praia da Rocha Petisco Route, which runs until 2 October.
At a time when the Portimão Petisco Route is halfway through, the organizers consider that “the best forecasts have been surpassed”, while those responsible for the various participating establishments have expressed their appreciation for the registered turnout.
«In fact, the adhesion to this first project of the Teia D'Impulsos Association, in partnership with the Municipality of Portimão, is reflected in the current numbers, with the sale of about five thousand Route menus, numbers that could double up to end of the initiative, which began on 3 September and runs for a month», stresses the municipality.
Over the first few weeks, the city center registered «greater movement and increased animation, even at late hours, with people from the most diverse age groups and social groups joining the Route, individually or in groups of friends, and cultivate in this way habits of socialization».
The organization also emphasizes the exchange of experiences and the interaction generated between the participants, as well as the fact that the Route encourages the rediscovery of the city, by offering the best of local cuisine at attractive prices.
According to the promoters, the objective of inviting Rota do Petisco participants to discover new restaurants is also being achieved, while the traders themselves underline the fact that many customers are willing to return for another opportunity.
Until the 2nd of October, this gastronomic tour continues to take place in a total of 31 restaurants in the center of Portimão and Praia da Rocha, where participants can taste as many menu proposals, ranging from appetizers to 2,50 euros, regional sweets for 2 euros, always accompanied by a drink.

Armed with the Rota Passport, which can be found at participating establishments or by printing from the Teia D'Impulsos website (www.teiadimpulsos.pt), participants receive a stamp for each restaurant or patisserie frequented.
When filling out the passport with at least 12 stamps, they will be entitled to a free visit, for two people, to the Museum of Portimão.
Passport holders with at least 24 stamps are also eligible for a prize to be drawn among the candidates, which consists of a visit and wine tasting, for two people, in local wineries designated by the Algarve Wine Commission, in a total of 12 vouchers, or at a candle baptism, also for two people, for a total of four vouchers provided by the Sailing Center of Portimão, which in the meantime has also joined the partners of Rota do Petisco.
Duly completed passports can be delivered to the reception of the Portimão Museum until October 8th, with prizes being drawn on the 12th, when the identification of the winners will be disclosed on the website of Teia D'Impulsos.
