The president and vice-president of the Chamber of São Brás de Alportel met during the Easter holidays with the young scholarship holders to learn about their academic paths and future projects, but also their difficulties and challenges.
In the 2023/2024 academic year, four new scholarships were awarded to students taking courses such as Computer Engineering and Chemical and Biological Engineering and five scholarships were renewed for São Brasense students taking courses in the areas of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Law, Architecture and Fine Arts.
These Scholarships are aimed at São Brasense students who access higher education, with lower economic income and showing good results.
In a note, the municipality emphasizes that it maintains the extension of the conditions for access to scholarships for students who attend Integrated Masters, in situations where the pursuit of a career, which concerns academic training, requires attending an integrated master's degree.
This meeting was also joined by the technical team from the Municipal Social Services responsible for monitoring this project, who are responsible for evaluating the possible need to add additional support to this Scholarship Program, particularly to help meet the growing expenses for students. displaced.
Applications for the award and/or renewal of Scholarships are always made in November and are submitted to the Municipality's Social Services, with the regulations available on the municipality's website.
