São Brás de Alportel hosted, on the 16th and 17th of March, an Obedience Seminar (Sports Canine Obedience), taught by Jesús Martín, runner-up world champion in 2019.
The Obedience modality is governed by the guidelines of the International Cinological Federation, represented by the Portuguese Caniculture Club, being a sporting and educational activity, aimed at teaching dogs to act in a cooperative and controlled manner with their handlers.
This initiative was organized by the Algharbravo association, based in São Brás de Alportel, as «the number of schools and competitors in the Obedience modality has increased exponentially», according to the municipality.
The initiative had the support of the São Brás de Alportel City Council and the Machados Sports and Cultural Group.
