The Municipality of São Brás de Alportel will continue to support families who face greater difficulties in paying the rent for their homes, through the Rental Support Program, launched in 2020.
The program has already made it possible to allocate 160 supports to São Brasense families, with the allocation of monthly monetary support to support households in vulnerable situations in paying their household rent.
On March 21st, a set of new terms of acceptance of the conditions were signed in the Main Hall of the City Council.
In a note, the municipality states that, despite the 45 supports planned by the Municipality for this year, 24 applications have been approved so far, «there is the possibility of granting more support, throughout the year, if applications arise that meet the conditions and criteria necessary”.
Households in difficulty should contact the Municipal Social Services, located in the Community Support Center, to submit their application.
Alongside this program, the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel launched, also in 2020, the Young Rental Support Program, a new social response promoting access to housing, suited to the needs of young families.
This program has so far received 17 supports.
