Women and Agroecology are the theme of an event in Tavira

Initiative is promoted by Al-Bio and financed by Tavira Chamber

The Al-Bio association will promote the initiative “Women and Agroecology – Elements for an agroecological transition in the territory”, on April 27th, between 9:00 am and 16:30 pm, at Quinta Shanti, in Tavira, under a cooperation protocol established between the Tavirense Municipality and the association.

This will be «the first of a set of initiatives» to be carried out by Al-Bio, under the protocol, under which the Municipality of Tavira granted financial support of 25 thousand euros to Al-Bio «to carry out activities to promote organic farming, sustainable production methods and agrogeological and regenerative practices, which generate less environmental impact and enhance the protection of biodiversity».

According to the organization, the initiative is aimed at «farmers and women linked to the territory» and will have Cláudia Barrera as a guest

Actions are planned on various topics, such as information on agroecology and regenerative agriculture on agricultural farms, information for production and marketing, transformation and marketing, carbon sequestration in the soil, efficiency and innovation in water management using sustainable methods, among others.
