Perceve Festival returns to Vila do Bispo on a new date

In last year's edition, more than 8 thousand people visited the Perceve Festival

The Vila do Bispo Perceve Festival takes place from the 7th to the 9th of June, next to the Escola Básica de São Vicente.

In its tenth edition, the festival brings this new feature decided by the organization to adapt the event calendar to the period most conducive to catching barnacles.

In last year's edition, more than 8 people visited the Perceve Festival and 4170 kilos of seafood were consumed, 1250 kilos of which were barnacles.

It was the first year that the Vila do Bispo City Council took over the organization of the event, in partnership with the Association of Shellfish Eaters of Vila do Bispo and Costa Vicentina.

The musical entertainment poster will soon be announced, as well as the exhibitors of crafts and regional products that will be present in the event's exhibition area.

The closed season, the period in which the catching of barnacles is prohibited in the Natural Park of Southwest Alentejano and Costa Vicentina, currently runs between September and December.
