Cristóvão Norte re-elected president of PSD Algarve

The politician headed the only candidate list in the elections for the district political commission of Faro of this party

This Saturday, April 20th, Cristóvão Norte was re-elected president of the PSD Algarve.

The vice-president of the parliamentary bench of the Social Democrats in the Assembly of the Republic headed the only candidate list in the elections for the district political commission of Faro of this party.

Cristóvão Norte obtained 511 of the 541 votes cast, out of a total of around 1.115 voters. The vote also had 22 blank votes and eight null votes.

In statements to the Sul Informação, last Thursday, April 18, Cristóvão Norte, promised to be “demanding with the Government” and assured that he will not change his speech in defense of the region, just because his party is now in power, at central level.

«It is important to say that the people of the Algarve, at this moment, do not believe anything that politicians say and this largely explains the results of the last Legislative Elections in the region», he also highlighted to our newspaper.

In the remaining bodies, José Mendes Bota, Carlos Bicheiro and Carlos de Deus Pereira were elected as presidents.
