Maré de Contos invades Tavira in March

Event takes place between the 10th and 16th

Tavira will once again be flooded with a Tide of Tales between the 10th and 16th of March, an initiative full of stories, where people listen, tell and sing.

This initiative by the Municipality of Tavira, in partnership with Associação Cultural Rock da Baixa Mar, «takes the art of telling and singing stories to different places in the municipality» and seeks to involve the community, «through a playful and performative component that combines orality to music and parties, reaching out to various audiences, in an inclusive way», according to the Chamber.

«Stories take us back to our intangible heritage, making us aware of the extent of the rich imagery of our oral tradition», adds the municipality.
