Jacinto Lucas Pires talks about “Literature, Memory and Imagination” at the Lagoa Library

The literary lecture will be presented by Maria Luísa Francisco

Jacinto Lucas Pires, writer, playwright and filmmaker, is the guest for the second session of the “Celebrating Freedom” section, which will take place at the Municipal Library of Lagoa, on Friday, March 22nd, 18:00 pm.

In this, which is the second session of this cycle of literary lectures that will take place throughout 2024, the theme will be “Literature, Memory and Imagination”.

The literary lecture will be presented by Maria Luísa Francisco.

In addition to being a playwright and filmmaker, Jacinto Lucas Pires is a traveler, among other jobs in the literary and artistic scene.

His career has been recognized with several awards, also arousing the interest of critics and academia.

He will share with the public the diversity of his journey through the lens of the narrator-filmmaker-traveler present in his books.

The cycle of literary lectures “Celebrating Freedom” aims to create complicity between the different guests and readers, as well as to mark the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April Revolution.
