National Monitoring Commission analyzes implementation of the PRR at UAlg

Pedro Dominguinhos, president of the National Commission for Monitoring the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), will be this Tuesday, March 26, at University of Algarve to take stock of the implementation in this institution. 

The visit will begin at 14 pm, with a boat trip along the Ria Formosa on the “MARUALG” vessel, 00% financed by the PRR, with capacity for 100 people.

On this trip, a practical class will be simulated in a real context, usually taught to students on bachelor's, master's and doctoral courses linked to maritime areas.

In a note, the University of Algarve highlights that its strategy within the scope of the PRR is based on four axes: teaching, research, community and governance.

«UAlg has been developing a set of actions to attract more students to higher education, young people and adults, to improve academic success and reduce school dropout rates, through pedagogical innovation, providing digital and transversal skills. Furthermore, this program also focuses on the construction and requalification of infrastructure and the acquisition of equipment», he highlights.

«The PRR is a national application program, with an execution period until 2026, which aims to implement a set of reforms and investments aimed at restoring sustained economic growth, after the pandemic, reinforcing the objective of convergence with Europe, throughout of the next decade, guided by a concept of sustainability inspired by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),' explains UAlg.
