Moto E World Championship testing has started at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve

The test takes place from March 22nd to 24th

The MotoE World Championship tests started this Wednesday, February 21st, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão. 

For the first time in Portimão and Portugal, the 18 drivers from the nine teams on the grid Showed for the first time, the 15 Algarve curves on Ducati that give energy to this championship.

With four 15-minute sessions on the agenda, the day began with Spaniard Hector Garzó leading the first session with a best lap of 1m49.336s ahead of Jordi Torres and Nicolas Spinelli, the only two who were less than a second behind. Spanish.

The momentum was set, but in the second session Spinelli lowered his best lap by almost a second to take first place on the time sheet with 1m48.487s against Matteo Ferrari and Kevin Zannoni, this time in a group of nine drivers who were separated by less of one second.

The two afternoon sessions once again showed the work done by the teams and it was with 1m48.003s that Spinelli closed the third session, once again marked by reduced differences between the top ten.

Hector Garzó finished in second place at just 173 thousandths of a second, 18 thousandths less than Alessandro Zaccone, the third fastest.

The final session of the day once again showed even faster laps and in the end Spinelli was the one who ended the day first, lapping in 1m47.632s, 101 thousandths less than Alessandro Zaccone.

With 11 riders separated by less than a second the final session of the day saw Kevin Zannoni third fastest.

For the second consecutive year, the MotoE world championship uses the fast Ducati V21L, electric motorcycles capable of reaching a maximum speed of over 270 kilometers per hour.

The test takes place from March 22nd to 24th.
