Portimonense lost 1-2 to Arouca, in a game from the 20th round of the I Football League, played this Saturday, February 3rd, in Portimão.
The Algarve team even had some of the best chances of the match, but Arouca was more effective.
After a goal disallowed for each side, Rafa Mujica opened the scoring for the visitors, in the 48th minute, assisted by Cristo.
Matías Rocha, at 52′, increased the advantage. Cristou hit a free-kick at the edge of the area, Nakamura saved it against the bar and Matías appeared alone to reload.
Portimonense still pulled one back in the 71st minute, with a goal from Ronie Carrillo, and could have equalized if Formiga's shot, already in stoppage time, hadn't hit the bar with a bang.
With this defeat, Portimonense is in 11th place with 21 points.
