Lagos will host the Algarve Architecture Award ceremony

The initiative is from the Algarve Regional Section of the Order of Architects

The awards ceremony for the 3rd edition of the Algarve Architecture Prize will take place this Saturday, February 24th, from 16pm, at the Edifício Paços do Concelho Sec. XXI, in Lagos.

The initiative is from the Algarve Regional Section of the Order of Architects and aims to promote and encourage architectural quality, the dignification of the urban image and the valorization and safeguarding of the Algarve's heritage.

The award, which is annual in nature, will reward authors of works built in the Algarve, public or private, that stand out for their architectural and constructive quality in five categories: Single or Two-Family Housing; Collective Housing; Equipment, Services and Industry; Heritage and Rehabilitation; and Architecture and Landscape.

Assuming itself as host of the event and institutional partner of the initiative, Lagos City Council yesterday approved the allocation of a subsidy of two thousand euros to the promoting entity as a form of support for holding the exhibition in the municipality.

The event is open to everyone who wants to attend, and you just need to confirm your presence by the 23rd of February to [email protected] or 966 926 701.
