Garzó (MotoE) and Alonso (Moto3) were the fastest on a “mixed” day of training, this Thursday, February 22, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão.

Without the sun and spring temperatures of the previous day, the commitment of drivers and teams was no longer intense and at the end of the first session it was the Spaniard Hector Garzó who set the best lap by getting a pass at 4.592 meters on the Algarve route. in 1m46.916s.

With the colors of Dynavolt Intact GP on the fairings of his Ducati, the Spaniard was the only one to run in the second 46, leaving Nicolas Spinelli in second position, the fastest on the first day but who today was unable to beat his rival.

Even so, he managed to beat his compatriots Matteo Ferrari and Alessandro Zaccone, both to end the day ahead of Eric Granado, the Brazilian who once again wants to fight for the world crown in the colors of LCR.

Along with the MotoE riders, the Moto3 world championship squad also started their test round and at the end of the day the fastest among the 26 riders that passed the track was Colombian David Alonso.

Protagonist in 2023 – his debut year in the championship – the South American driver closed his best lap with 1m47.252s, the 15th of the morning session to beat Spaniard Daniel Holgado – winner in the class at the Portuguese GP in 2023 – and José António Rueda. Ivan Ortolá was fourth fastest ahead of Filippo Farioli, the best of the Honda riders.
