The Carnival parade that was to take place this Fat Sunday, February 11th, was cancelled, «after analyzing the weather conditions».
In a statement, the Quarteira Parish Council considers that "the conditions for holding the parade are not met, with the safety of everyone involved being a priority."
The municipality «is grateful for the work carried out by the people involved in the staff and the participating groups» and states that it is «counting on everyone next Tuesday, the 13th, from 15pm, for the last day of Carnival in the parish».
