Between the 19th and 25th of February, in the Algarve, the GNR detected 451 infractions and recorded 133 accidents.
These were the results of the weekly operational activity to prevent and combat violent crime, road inspection, among others.
Of the more than 400 infractions, 102 stand out for speeding, 37 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 30 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 11 for lack of civil liability insurance, 11 for improper use of a cell phone while driving and eight for lack of or incorrect use of a seat belt and/or child restraint system.
The accidents resulted in three serious injuries and 18 minor injuries.
Between the 19th and 25th of February, 19 doses of liamba, eight of hashish and one pen drive and 37 people were arrested: 12 for driving under the influence of alcohol, six for driving without a legal license and two for drug trafficking.
