Vila do Bispo brings together works by 72 artists

Entrance is free

The 25th edition of the “Municipal Artists Exhibition” will take place until February 29th, at the Vila do Bispo Interpretation Center.

The inauguration ceremony that took place yesterday, January 14th, was presided over by Mayor Rute Silva and was attended by participating artists, mayors and guests.

The exhibition presents works by 72 local artists where various themes, techniques and media are explored, particularly in the areas of painting, drawing, photography, traditional lines and dots, film, printing, decorative arts, sculpture, installation and linocut, in a total of 10 artistic dimensions, some more contemporary, others more artisanal, all full of authenticity.

For Rute Silva, the Municipal Artists' Exhibition «has become an excellent example of integration and inclusion, a happy union between creators and creations, between artists and artisans, between people of different origins and nationalities, generations, cultures, convictions and creeds, all sharing experiences, knowledge, sensibilities and, above all, a common element…. inspiration from the landscapes of Vila do Bispo».

The mayor took advantage of the moment to thank everyone who over these twenty-five years has been participating in or visiting the Vila do Bispo Municipality Artists Exhibition, collaborating with the Municipality in this important mission of sharing and valuing the local culture.

It was another action included in the Municipality Day celebrations program – São Vicente's Day and can be visited from Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 16:30 pm.

Admission is free.
