Three men arrested for drug trafficking in Baixa de Faro

According to the PSP, the detainees targeted “three men, mainly tourists.”

Three men, foreigners, aged between 23 and 40, were arrested this Wednesday, January 24th, for drug trafficking in Baixa de Faro. 

According to the PSP, the detainees were approached during a preventive patrol operation in that area.

«It was possible to determine that the three men were targeting, above all, tourists, who they approached and asked if they intended to purchase narcotic products», explains the PSP in a note.

In addition to the arrest, «several doses of hashish and marijuana packaged and ready for sale to consumers, European and extra-Community money suspected of coming from the criminal practice carried out, as well as various accessories for preparing and packaging the product», said the police.

The three detainees were presented to the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action of Faro yesterday afternoon, and the coercive measure of Identity and Residence Term was applied to them.
