The São Brás de Alportel Chamber has already opened applications for this year's edition of the Lease Support Programs – general and Young Leasing.
The Rental Support Program is a social measure launched in 2020, which has already made it possible to grant 134 supports until 2023 to São Brasense families, who face greater difficulties in paying the rent for their homes.
At a Chamber meeting held on December 19th, the municipal executive unanimously approved the availability of 45 supports for 2024, more than last year, with the application period running until January 31st.
Families residing in the municipality of São Brás de Alportel, in a situation of economic and social vulnerability, living in a rented house, which is not owned by a family member, are eligible for this support.
At the same Chamber meeting, the opening of applications for the Youth Rental Support Program was also approved, which will allow the allocation of two housing units in the Municipality to young families in the municipality who will thus be able to have greater autonomy and independence. It is a T0 and a T2.
Citizens aged 22 or over and under 35 who do not own a home, have an active professional status and have low income are eligible for the Young Rental Program.
Applications for both programs are open until January 31st and must meet the requirements set out in the regulations for this program, which can be consulted on the Municipality's website, www.cm-sbras.pt in the “Regulations and Standards” tab.
