Four young people, aged between 16 and 26, were arrested, in a joint action between the PSP and the Portimão Maritime Police, for robbing and assaulting a man on Praia do Barranco das Canas.
According to the PSP, the citizen was surprised, yesterday afternoon, by four young people “who surrounded him, attacked him and took away his personal belongings” and then tried to escape.
Given the seriousness of the facts, steps were immediately taken to locate them and recover the stolen items.
The suspects were considered defendants and subject to an Identity and Residence Term.
The results of the investigations will be sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office for consideration.
