Vessels anchored in Portimão run aground on Praia Grande in Ferragudo

Due to weather conditions

A motor pleasure craft and a sailboat, which were anchored in the Portimão harbor, ran aground on the morning of Wednesday, January 17th, in Praia Grande, in Ferragudo, which is also located in the Arade estuary. 

Due to the weather conditions, the moorings of these vessels were dragged and broke.

The vessels were detected by members of the local command of the Portimão Maritime Police, at 8:00 am, with no crew on board.

According to the Maritime Authority, the owners were notified to remove the vessels from the site.

The local command of the Maritime Police of Portimão took care of the incident.
