The Council of Ministers approved today, January 2, the resolution to execute the State Budget for 2024 (OE2024), the Government said in a statement.
«The Council of Ministers approved, electronically, a resolution that allows the implementation of the State Budget for 2024, regarding the State's financing conditions», the note reads.
The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, announced, on December 21st, the promulgation of the State Budget for 2024.
The Government's budget proposal had been approved in parliament on November 29th only with the positive votes of the PS and the abstentions of the sole deputies of Livre and PAN. The PSD, Chega, Liberal Initiative, PCP and BE voted against.
