Singer and songwriter MARA is the guest of the next session of the Lado B initiative, by Câmara de Silves, which will take place on January 19th, at 21:30 pm, at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, in Silves.
This Portuguese singer and songwriter, «owner of an imposing, dramatic voice that leaves no one indifferent with her powerful delivery on stage», began her solo career in 2021 and recently released her debut album “Maldita Sorte”.
The Side B section “seeks to present the public with a more relaxed and intimate version of the artists. The show, as a rule, is associated with a brief conversation as a way of bringing the public closer to the artist», according to the municipality.
Tickets for the show can be purchased through the online ticket office and in the usual sales locations (FNAC, Worten, CTT, EI Corte Inglés and Pousadas de Juventude), with an associated cost of 10 euros.
They can also be purchased on the day of the show, at the venue, from 20:00 pm, if the ticket office is available.
About MARA:
Graduated in early childhood education from the University of Madeira; Teacher of Musical and Dramatic Expression of the 1st cycle of basic education, working at the Office of Musical and Dramatic Expression of the Regional Education Secretariat; Participation in the Program “Operação Triunfo 3” produced by RTP1, having performed in 13 television galas, obtaining 6th place.
Presenter of the program “Posto7” on the cable television channel MVM TV in the following years: Musical “After all that Musical is this” at the Mala Posta theater Covers band School Daze (rock pop and '80s) Back vocals by artists such as: Agir, Paulo Vintém, Nenny, and Dengaz (the latter for 7 years). Participation in “The Voice Portugal”, being the stubborn cop. In 2021 she signed with Warner Music Portugal, releasing her first single “Severa” that year; in 2022 the 2nd and 3rd singles “Coração de Pedra” and “Fado Moço”. In 2023 she released her debut album “Maldita Sorte” and debuted solo concerts.
