The Sociedade da Água de Monchique (SAM) distributed, at the end of 2023, an Extraordinary Prize that represented an investment of more than 100 thousand euros, «with the aim of recognizing the effort and commitment of all 86 employees in a particularly challenging year ».
According to the company, this is an initiative «inserted within the scope of the company's social sustainability policy, where employees and their well-being take a prominent place».
«We know the family reality of each of our employees. We know the impact that the increase in the cost of living has had on the family budget. We recognize the enormous dedication that everyone had towards the company in 2023 and we reward it», says Vítor Hugo Gonçalves, CEO of Sociedade da Água de Monchique.
This additional support comes in addition to a range of other benefits, including, for example, the payment of 16 annual salaries or the provision of health insurance. In 2020, and in the midst of the pandemic, the company increased all salaries by 10%.
