Silves City Council is collecting memories about the 25th of April and the 1st of May 1974, as part of a project that will run until the end of 2024, the year in which the 50th anniversary of the Carnation Revolution is celebrated.
The initiative, which will be promoted by the municipality's Libraries and Documentation sector, aims to «create a digital repository of images and reports from the Silvense community for future memory, as well as the creation of an exhibition where the protagonists are the citizens» of the municipality.
The Chamber challenges the population to join the initiative, «collecting photographs, memories or stories that they want to share about these days».
