The book “Louletano Desportos Clube – 100 anos A Formar Gerações”, written by journalist Neto Gomes, will be launched on December 23rd, at 16:30 pm, at the Pavilhão Municipal Professor Joaquim Vairinhos, in an event that will close the centenary celebrations of this club.
«The work takes a journey through the life of the club, one of the most eclectic in the south of the country, from June 6, 1923, the date of its foundation, to the present day. Photos, newspaper clippings, testimonies from athletes, coaches, managers or associates, stories that mix with the history of the municipality and the country, and many curiosities brought by the hand of journalist, communicator and writer Joaquim Neto Gomes», according to the Chamber from Loulé.
This book «adds to the vast work already published by this author within the scope of the history of the region, with emphasis on Algarve sport».
During this session organized by Louletano Desportos Clube, some figures will also be honored. In addition to Túlio Martins, vice-president of the club, and Luís José Pinguinha (posthumously), «a man who played a central role in football training», also the Initiates training football team 1976/77, which was national runner-up, will be distinguished.
