They are refrigerators and serve to encourage reading, in Quelfes (Olhão). The “Frigóbooks” project is back, with a new design, but always with the motto “take a book, leave a book”.
The concept of Frigóbooks remains unchanged.
The idea is simple: leave one book and take another.
According to the Quelfes Parish Council, «the introduction of a new design represents a fresh look, with a renewed aesthetic in order to attract even more attention from residents and visitors, creating a visually attractive space for sharing books and ideas» .
By pointing out, on a post-it note, the book they take and the book they leave behind, readers can now leave a written message expressing their thoughts and emotions about the chosen works.
