A Faro 1540 – Association for the Defense and Promotion of the Environmental and Cultural Heritage of Faro This Friday, December 22nd, starting at 18:30 pm, the 5th edition of Fartoon – International Cartoon Show of Faro.
The initiative will run until January 30th, in the Cloisters of the Municipal Museum of Faro, where the 39 finalist works will be on display. This year's edition has the theme “Water a challenge for Humanity”.
According to the organization, «the 39 selected works invite the visitor to travel through the artists' imagination, filled with irreverence, satire and criticism, and to reflect on the ways in which, individually and collectively, we intentionally or unconsciously contribute to the scarcity of water in planetary level”.
The main objective is to sensitize and raise awareness among the population of the vital importance of this natural resource and to raise awareness about the sustainability of the water cycle, from its capture, to its use, without forgetting its treatment and reuse.
This event once again has the support of the Chamber of Faro, Parish Union of Faro and the Municipal Museum of Faro.
