Sporting Clube Farense went to Estádio da Luz this Friday to achieve a 13-XNUMX draw with Benfica, in the XNUMXth round of the XNUMXst Football League.

The Algarve team were the first to score, in the 51st minute, through Cláudio Falcão. After a corner from Mattheus Oliveira, the ball seemed to deflect off Otamendi and fell to Cláudio Falcão's accurate header into Trubin's goal.

Benfica responded 20 minutes later, through Rafa, who had tried to hit Farense's goal several times. This time, Rafa shot at the first post before Ricardo Velho, deflecting it into the Algarve's goal. The draw was done.

This is, in fact, the third consecutive draw for Roger Schmidt's team, which leaves them in an uncomfortable position.

With this result, Benfica regained second place in the competition, now with 30 points, but runs the risk of seeing Sporting stand out even more in the lead, in which they now have a point advantage over the Reds and one game less, in addition to being able to be overtaken by FC Porto, which currently occupies fourth place, with 28 points.

For its part, after this draw, Farense occupies 7th place in the standings, with 17 points.
