The directors of the School Groups and Non-Group Schools of the Algarve once again paid tribute, this Thursday, December 14th, to their colleagues, former directors, at a dinner at the Aquashow Park Hotel, in Quarteira.
In this tribute ceremony, students from the Kitchen/Pastry Technician, Tourist Operations Technician, Tourist Information and Entertainment Technician, Restaurant/Bar Employee and Multimedia Technician courses, guided by their teachers, were responsible for decorating the space, reception of guests, reception service welcome drink, table service and reporting.
The students from the Loulé Conservatory of Music took part in a musical moment.
According to the Directorate of Services for the Algarve Region of the Directorate-General for School Establishments (DGEstE), throughout the night, «guests had the opportunity to enjoy a pleasant and lively dinner, simultaneously paying tribute to their colleagues and friends, who, having already held the same position, have since ceased that role.”
The objective was «to highlight the competence, responsibility, commitment, dedication, spirit of mission and relevant services provided by these professionals, in carrying out such an important and challenging mission at the service of Education», he added.
Alexandre Lima, Algarve Regional Education Delegate, took the opportunity to thank, highlight and recognize the work carried out by everyone, in the management of the various educational establishments in the region, and the way in which they have contributed and cooperated over the years, ensuring the common good of students, teaching and non-teaching staff and the entire school community, in favor of a good educational service in the region.
The ceremony was attended by Júlio Sousa, municipal director, representing Vítor Aleixo, mayor of Loulé.
The dinner was organized by the D. Dinis School Group, Almancil School Group, Dr.ª Laura Ayres School Group, Eng.º Duarte Pacheco School Group, Padre João Coelho Cabanita School Group and the Loulé Secondary School, counting on the support of the Loulé Chamber.
