Tavira City Council will requalify Rua do Cais, in the city center, an intervention costing 715 thousand euros that aims to promote better accessibility and mobility conditions on this artery and in Largo da Caracolinha, the municipality announced.
«The work consists of the general improvement of the guardrails, along the river wall, the replacement of public lighting in Jardim do Bandstand, as well as pavements and urban furniture. The intervention also includes the expansion of the pedestrian platform connecting the garden and Mercado da Ribeira, the formalization of access to the Gilão Bridge, the redefinition of the road profile and the burial of electrical infrastructures», described Tavira Council.
It is estimated that the work will take 150 days to complete, that is, around five months.
