Tavira acquires land for housing at controlled costs

The objective is to move forward with the construction of 72 homes

The Municipality of Tavira acquired, in Sítio da Boavista, land with the aim of moving forward with the construction of 72 dwellings (types T2 and T3) at controlled costs and with affordable rent.

The acquisition of this land follows the Local Housing Strategy.

By adopting this measure, the Tavira municipality intends to “promote access to decent housing conditions, create conditions so that housing costs are affordable for family budgets, favor dispersed occupation solutions in existing housing areas, continue the rehabilitation of the park municipal housing, providing conditions of ease and comfort in accessing housing».

According to the Tavira Chamber, other actions are planned that will cover this need throughout the municipality's territory.
