There are more than 170 pages, with testimonies and real stories from the people who made Infralobo what it is today, a company that «is already in the future». This is the book commemorating the 25th anniversary of this company, owned by the Municipality of Loulé and private parties.

Ivone Dias Ferreira was responsible for investigating, interviewing and writing the book, which is written in Portuguese, English and Braille and was produced with recyclable materials.

«I hope that readers will find in this book many answers to small curiosities about the territory and, above all, I hope that they will find proof that in Portugal, in the Algarve, and in Vale do Lobo, there is a company that cares about environmental sustainability , with smooth mobility and with what is nowadays a duty of each one of us", highlighted the author on the sidelines of the ceremony celebrating 25 years of Infralobo and the launch of the book, which took place on the 13th of November.

Asked whether this publication is a look at the past to envision the future, Ivone Ferreira replied that Infralobo, «when compared to most Portuguese companies, is already in the future».

«What most companies in Portugal will be in 10 or 15 years, Infralobo already is. Therefore, I started talking about the future, which is talking about the present, deep down, and then going back, little by little, to the past, told by the company's administrators and workers", he told Sul Informação.

In the words of Carlos Manso, CEO of Infralobo, this book aims not only to tell «the big stories», «which talk about the great works and objective indicators», but also «the small stories, which transform it into a big one, which is the story of employees and businesspeople who invested in our territory to develop it and make it a place where they can be and be happy».

Vítor Aleixo, mayor of Loulé, highlighted that this is a territory that encompasses «the best that is found in the world» and, therefore, is a «very valuable» and «disputed» territory, but that, to get here , needed “creative policies”.

Speaking of Joaquim Vairinhos, Murta Marcos, Sander van Gelder as a businessman, or Paulo Chaves, Vítor Aleixo recalled «men who realized that it was necessary to create a logic for Vale do Lobo that could maintain the quality level of day-to-day management».

«We have good customers, who have the possibility of having a very good life here and we have to live up to the expectations of these investors and respond with a high level of quality – and that is what we have done. In this creativity, the founding minutes of this unique company in Portugal were created, which were then replicated to other areas of the country, which are called infras, public and private companies, with two parts, where the Chamber of Loulé always had the majority share. , but where the main investors in these territorial areas of the municipality were and are present».

In this sense, the mayor of Loulé emphasized the «disruptive role in relation to what was the conventional management of territories» and reinforced that «it was thanks to this creativity and foundation of these companies that these three infrastructures emerged», which, in his words, «we are proud of and are rightly being celebrated through this event».

To write this book, which tells 25 years of history, Ivone Dias Ferreira spent many hours at the Municipal Archive of Loulé and, over the course of a year, often passed through Vale Lobo, where she spoke and collected the almost 30 testimonies contained in these pages. find.

«It was also a pleasure to discover Infralobo as a public sector company – and I am always very much in favor of the public sector – operating with such efficiency, joy, enthusiasm and professionalism. I hope that it will also be a surprise for the reader, as it was for me, knowing the intricacies of Infralobo», said the author.

As this is a commemorative book, Carlos Manso explained that it will not be on sale in bookstores, but rather at Infralobo, where it can be purchased for the price of 45 euros.

In addition, many of the 500 copies will be delivered to schools and libraries in the municipality.

The ceremony also included a tribute to Infralobo workers.
