An earthquake of magnitude 2.6 (Richter), with an epicenter off Faro and very close to the coast, it was recorded at the Continental Seismic Network stations at 11:12 am, just two minutes before the scheduled time for the Public Exercise The Earth Trembles, whose main national event, in 2023, even took place in Olhão.

According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) «no information was received confirming that this earthquake was felt».
