The Municipality of Castro Marim signed yesterday, November 27th, with the Republican National Guard, a transfer order for a properly equipped motorcycle, which will allow for improved rural patrolling, forest protection or reinforce security at events.
The initiative took place within the scope of an interinstitutional cooperation strategy to safeguard the interest
public and improving community safety conditions.
The signature was formalized by Francisco Amaral, president of the Chamber of Castro Marim, and lieutenant colonel Carlos Almeida.
In a note, the Municipality of Castro Marim recalls that within the scope of collaboration between organizations, the municipality reinforced, last week, with the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI), the need to formulate an administrative contract that implements the agreed lot transfer agreement. , properly infrastructured, for the construction of a new GNR post in Castro Marim.
Castro Marim took advantage of the lieutenant colonel's presence in the current facilities to reinforce this message, highlighting that the new location «is even more advantageous, ensuring greater territorial centrality».
The Municipality also offers itself to be the leader of the application for European funds that guarantee the best financial management of the work and there is the will and conditions to support MAI in the construction itself.
