The Chamber of Faro is preparing the creation of a new municipal industrial subdivision in the area of ​​Medronhal, Guilhim, in the parish of Estoi, where the Official Animal Collection Center is already installed. Faro, opened at the beginning of the year.

«The land to be subdivided is located in a rural context, corresponding to a set of parcels of municipal public domain with an area to be subdivided of 72.364 square meters, which, according to the Municipal Master Plan of Faro, correspond to a buildable area of ​​62.455 meters», describes the Chamber of Faro.

This allotment in the original version, «included in its only lot the Official Animal Collection Center Faro, opened at the beginning of last year, undergoing a change/expansion to a total of nine lots, with different areas ranging from around 203 square meters (in the case of the smallest) to 8.260 square meters, in addition to streets, parking lots and sidewalks , equipment for collective use and green spaces».

The future municipal industrial subdivision already has a basic architectural project, «approved with favorable opinions from the competent authorities, with urbanization works (infrastructure) projects now to follow».

During a visit to the site as part of the “Faro Positive”, the councilor of the Municipal Council of Faro, Sophie Matias, explained that the municipality “decided to take advantage of the opportunity to create an industrial subdivision, since Faro It currently does not have the capacity to receive activities linked to industry and commerce, because it does not have industrial spaces».

«Once we have the infrastructure in place, we realized that we could quickly approve this subdivision, which is a pressing need for the municipality, helping to attract companies from areas of activity that could create jobs and business for our territory», he added the councilor.
