Ana Gomes, Mário Tomé and Domingos Lopes are the guests of the debate entitled “War or Peace”, promoted by the “Algarve-Mudar de Vida!” platform, at Clube Farense, in Faro, on Friday, November 17th, from 21:30 pm.
«The war in Europe and now in Palestine, added to other more limited ones in other parts of the world, in addition to the deaths and destruction they are causing, affect the economies, especially of countries like Portugal, and threaten to spread on a catastrophic scale. The people need peace, but they also need a just peace!”, emphasize the promoters of the debate.
“Initially thought of against the backdrop of the invasion of Ukraine, the recent war in Palestine has made this debate even more urgent,” they add.
The “Algarve-Change your Life!” platform results «from the meeting of the wills of comrades with different alignments in the past, adherents and former adherents of the Bloco de Esquerda and other left-wing activists with the militant desire to renew and reinvigorate political activity in the region».
